The rationale.
Webflow is the site and content publishing layer — fast, designer-quality pages without engineering bottlenecks. Surfer tells your writers exactly what to cover to rank for a target keyword, cutting the guesswork out of SEO content. Unbounce handles high-converting campaign landing pages (A/B tested, fast, optimised for paid or organic) without touching the main site. GetResponse captures leads, nurtures them with automated sequences, and runs the newsletter. Together they cover the full inbound loop: attract → convert → nurture.
The handoffs.
Write the article in Surfer's Content Editor (optimising against its content score) then publish as a blog post in Webflow CMS. Copy the optimised content into Webflow's rich text field. No native integration — copy/paste workflow.
Unbounce has a native GetResponse integration. Map the lead capture form fields to a GetResponse list on the Unbounce page settings. New signups appear in GetResponse automatically and enter your welcome sequence.
Embed a GetResponse signup form widget on Webflow blog pages (sidebar, footer, or inline). Alternatively use Webflow's form block with a Zapier connection to push submissions into GetResponse as new contacts.
Where tools overlap.
Where AI speeds this up.
Use Surfer AI (available on the Essential plan) to generate a first-draft article optimised for the target keyword — then edit for voice. Use GetResponse's AI email writer to generate newsletter drafts from your published posts. This stack can run at meaningful content velocity with one person if you use the AI layers for first drafts.
What to watch for.
- Webflow's CMS plan ($23/mo) is sufficient for a blog, but SEO-critical features (301 redirects, custom meta) require the Business plan ($39/mo) for large sites.
- Surfer's content score is a useful guide, not a guarantee. Don't publish thin AI-generated content at scale — it requires editorial review to clear Google's helpful-content standard.
- GetResponse's marketing automation (sequences, tagging, lead scoring) requires the Marketing Automation plan ($59/mo) — the base Email Marketing plan is send-only.
